Tough love for tomatoes.

Well, I grew my tomatoes from seed this year, as usual, and I nurtured them and loved them and cared for them, then I almost killed them, saved them, almost killed them again, saved them once again and now, I’m going to put their lives at risk yet again, all for the sake of “hardening off” in a really difficult spring.

The wind is not supposed to be awful today, which is saying something for Kansas, so I’m off to put them out to harden off once again.  Honestly, I’m not sure how many more times I can bring them back from the brink of death, so wish me luck.  It’s a beautiful day, the wind isn’t trying to blow me over, and I have hopes that maybe this time they can withstand the drought and the wind long enough to be hardened off enough that I can plant them by next week… if the bugs and the deer don’t get them first.
