Here’s a tip – if heavy pots full of potting mix and plants can’t stay upright in the wind, don’t go out to rescue them while the wind is still howling.

I just ended up on my backside in the driveway trying to straighten some pots that had tipped over.  I would bet money that the wind is gusting slightly more than the 34 mph that www.weatherchannel.com currently lists – maybe a lot more.  Ouch, and… I think I’ll wait until tomorrow to worry about this. I need to water and check the broccoli to see if we can harvest yet, but there’s no point in watering when it’s like this, unless you’re using drip irrigation and even then, maybe wait until it’s not blowing quite so hard.  We deal with wind a lot here in south central Kansas, but this is ridiculous.
